Setting a Goal
Think small. Make a small weight loss or health goal. While I’d love for the Rule of Three Diet to be your lifetime way of eating, you can’t think that way right now. That’s too overwhelming (it is, for me at least)
Start off small. I’m going to suggest that you not set a goal right now other than to stick to The Rule of Three Diet for one full week. Then, if you like it, make a goal to do it another full week. If you start to lose weight, be proud of yourself! Not only are you eating healthfully, you are losing ‘unplanned’ weight! If you must set a weight loss goal, I’ll suggest borrowing the Weight Watchers strategy of only 10% of your current weight.
My goal is to lead a healthy lifestyle. I have chosen to “lose weight” too often in my life to feel that I would be successful this time. I am simply trying to stay on The Rule of Three Diet. If weight loss follows, which I expect it will, I’ll be all the more grateful. I want to set good examples for my children. I can already see that my daughter (only two and a half) has my physique. I’d like her to learn the skills now that she needs to have the kind of body she wants later (inside and out).
